Repertory's Alice in Wonderland: A Play to Remember

Last October 26, Book and Art-venture Club followed a White Rabbit to East Wood Theater, and entered the magical world of Wonderland, where it is always tea time and the Queen always wins in flamingo croquet…In a stage play! The ones who followed the Rabbit were Spencer, Greta, Kassie, Yumi, and AM.
For this special occasion, we decided to show up in costumes based on Wonderland’s residents. Spencer and Yumi showed up as Alice, Greta as the Hatter, Kassie as the Cheshire Cat, and last but not least, AM as the Queen of Hearts.
As we ventured down the Rabbit Hole, we sang a harmonious song with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum with their names, sipped some yummy soda with the lazy Caterpillar, grinned big with the stealthy Cat, attended a plentiful tea party with the fancy Hatter, and played a losing game of croquet with the Queen.
We also found out who stole the Queen’s delicious tarts and raced with the animals in a quick, slow, and steady caucus race. We finally ended our journey by running out of the hole with the Rabbit, regardless of how much time we spent there.
BAV was also able to attend a meet-and-greet with the cast, in which we took pictures with the Hatter and the ensemble along with Tweedle Dee for our final adventure in Wonderland.
After we left the Rabbit Hole, we found this adventure in Wonderland extremely satisfying and unforgettable, no matter how much we lost to the Queen and sipped tea at 6 p.m.
Alice in Wonderland is a musical adaptation that will run up until December 14, 2025, brought to you by Repertory Philippines, directed by Joy Virata and Cara Barredo, featuring the music and lyrics by Janet Yates Vogt and Mark Friedman.
