Book and Artventure Club supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, which promotes inclusive, equitable, and quality education, as well as lifelong learning opportunities for all.
We believe that every child deserves opportunities to discover books, express creativity, build confidence, and experience the joy of learning.
We encourage children to discover Filipino and international children’s literature through storytelling sessions, read-aloud activities, readers’ theatre, book discussions, and recommendations.
These experiences help children strengthen their reading, listening, vocabulary, comprehension, and communication skills.
Our storytelling activities are often followed by arts and crafts, creative writing, performance, reflection, or group activities connected to the featured story.
By combining books and art, we help children understand ideas, express emotions, and participate actively in the learning experience.
We aim to create welcoming activities where children with different reading abilities, interests, and learning backgrounds can participate.
Children may contribute as readers, artists, storytellers, performers, volunteers, or members of the audience.
Book and Art-Venture Club gives children opportunities to practice reading aloud, public speaking, teamwork, event preparation, creativity, and leadership.
Children are encouraged not only to participate in activities, but also to help plan, present, and lead them.
We feature Filipino children’s books, authors, illustrators, language, stories, and cultural experiences.
Through these activities, children can develop a deeper appreciation for Filipino identity while learning about empathy, community, and the world around them.
We work with families, libraries, schools, community groups, and other organisations to create meaningful learning experiences outside the traditional classroom.
We believe that learning can happen anywhere—through a book, a conversation, an artwork, a performance, or a shared community experience.
Our SDG 4-related activities may include:
Storytelling and read-aloud sessions
Readers’ theatre and book performances
Book recommendations and literacy content
Arts and crafts connected to children’s literature
Community reading events
Filipino language and cultural activities
Child-led projects and presentations
Partnerships with libraries and community organisations
Educational resources for children and families
Book and Art-Venture Club contributes most closely to the following areas:
