Our first read-aloud!

It was a rainy Sunday morning at Dunkin, Mindanao Avenue, when BAV held its first official read-aloud and art-making activity with the little ones! Despite the gloomy weather, everyone was very excited and chatty inside!
We started with officers Greta, Spencer, and Andrei leading the read-aloud.
The book we read was If the Dinosaurs Came Back by Bernard Most. A funny and humorous book about a boy's imagination, thinking of dinosaurs helping other people by mowing their lawn, scaring off burglars, and many other things.
The littles enjoyed this book very much!

Greta and Yumi help Toni draw her dinosaur.
Now, for the art. We had to split up into groups to work on our pieces. Yumi, Kassie, AM, and Claire were in charge of assisting the little ones with their dino art.

For their art pieces, the little ones had to draw the dinosaur of their choice(with the older kids assisting), color it, then cut it out and paste it on a background of their choice. Some of them created their own backgrounds! The children were very focused, and in the end, their art really showed their creativity!
After an enjoyable read and a fun art activity, the read-aloud ended, with all of us chatting and brainstorming for our next read-aloud, on November 22!
